if you can hang clean it, you can probably strict press it. more so if you don't have picture perfect technique on the cleans, which will limit how much weight you can do. then you can still push press it if you fail on the strict ones ;)

nope, because you need the liquid to help cook the meat evenly. you can remove it afterwards if you want.

holy shit, i just realized i hit my squat goal ages ago (and recently did it ATG for a double). a SNAFU slowed down the press a while ago, but i'm confident i'll get it by february at the very latest (ideally around new year), and the dead is stagnant because i'm not deadlifting regularly right now ...
